A Boeing 767 pilot recalls landing the day of the Japan 8.8 quake.
An incredibly detailed (in as much as one of these things could be without getting the author in trouble with his airline) account of one pilot trying to land his 767 after completing a trans-Pacific flight for the first time… into Japan, the day of the massive 8.8 earthquake.
He tries to keep it light-hearted with the Top Gun reference and the various aside in the story but I can’t believe that the situation was anything less than OVER 9000 types of stressful.
